Vultures – Scavengers of Death takes inspiration from games like Parasite Eve and Resident Evil. Team Vultures, a small indie studio from Colombia, and Firesquid Games are excited to announce that their tactical survival horror game, Vultures – Scavengers of Death, will be released on Steam on April 28th. Developed over four years, the game is inspired by classic PlayStation 1 titles like Resident Evil and Parasite Eve. Players control two agents, each with unique combat skills and customizable equipment, on dangerous missions. Careful planning is key – sometimes avoiding fights is the best approach. When combat is unavoidable, players must use tactical, turn-based combat, targeting weak spots and disabling enemies to survive and complete their objectives.

Choose your agent to jump into survive and extract the target missions

Meet the operatives:

Leopoldo is a highly disciplined and determined agent who follows a strong personal code. He uses his strength and cleverness to manipulate the environment, overcoming obstacles with movement and agility.

Amber is a smart and agile tactical expert who excels at making quick, precise decisions, even under pressure. She utilizes a grappling gun to move around and control enemy positions.

Strategic thinking is key. Resources are scarce and danger lurks around every corner. You’ll need to be stealthy, know when to retreat, and carefully plan your approach to each turn-based fight. Your main objective is to escape with the target – survive by using every tool and tactic available.

Scavenge a Ruined City

This city holds clues to a cure hidden amongst the remnants of an outbreak. Explore different locations, overcome challenges, and collect relics, notes, and items to piece together the path to recovery. You’ll need to scavenge for tools, keys, and weapons to survive and improve your abilities along the way.

Turn-Based Classic Survival Horror

Drawing inspiration from classic survival horror games like Resident Evil, Vultures uses a nostalgic, PlayStation 1-style look and gameplay. You play as a lone agent navigating a dark and dangerous city, where every decision could mean the difference between completing your mission and failing—permanently.

Players will find the following gameplay elements, key to the genre:

  • Weapons – From pistols to rifles and knives to katana, find a variety of weapons to build out your arsenal.
  • Resources – Ammo and health packs are limited but vital to your survival.
  • Keys, codes and clues – Even doors and dying technology will be obstacles on the path to your target. Explore thoroughly to find everything you need to gain access.

Salento Valley – Ground Zero

Okay, so Salento Valley used to be a thriving city, but now it’s totally wrecked after some kind of bio-hazard went down. I’m playing as a VULTURES operative, and let me tell you, things are getting tough fast. The city is in ruins, and seriously messed up mutants are everywhere, just waiting to take me out. It’s a real fight for survival!
