Gotcha Gotcha Games recently released a short trailer hinting at a new RPG Maker project. The trailer showcases an updated RPG Maker engine that appears to allow for 3D elements and advanced lighting, creating a visual style reminiscent of games like Octopath Traveler and the remakes of the first three Dragon Quest titles. You can see the key features starting around 0:28 in the trailer.
As a long-time fan, I knew the last official RPG Maker version before this news was RPG Maker Unite. You can actually get it right now on a few different platforms – the Unity Asset Store, the official RPG Maker store, and even the Epic Games Store. It’s pretty convenient!
I just found the official English trailer for the new RPG Maker game, and I’m so excited! They also have a Japanese trailer available, but it’s pretty much the same, just with everything in Japanese – even calling the series ‘RPG Tkool’ over there.
