Wow, Minecraft Live was amazing! Mojang announced so much cool stuff – I’m especially hyped for the new ‘Chaos Cubed’ update, and it’s officially confirmed – Minecraft Dungeons 2 is actually happening! I can’t wait!
The March 21st presentation highlighted upcoming plans for the main game and its related titles, including updates like Tiny Takeover and real-life events. New features were revealed for Chaos Cubed, and the action RPG series Dungeons will be returning with a second installment.
Chaos Cubed introduces new physics-changing block
Following the Tiny Takeover update on March 24th, the next big release for Minecraft, called Chaos Cubed, promises to introduce a truly unique gameplay feature.
The main addition in this update is the sulfur cube – a unique block that changes how it behaves based on what it comes into contact with. Players can directly give the cube materials, or simply let it interact with things around it, creating different effects and offering new possibilities for building and experimentation.
You’ll discover this block in sulfur caves – a new kind of cave that can appear in many different areas of the Overworld. These caves feature sulfur pools, unique environmental conditions, and new resources like sulfur and cinnabar, all available in various block forms.
These new features strongly encourage players to experiment and create unique, often surprising, combinations and playstyles.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 confirmed with 2026 release window
Mojang announced that Minecraft Dungeons 2 is currently being made and is expected to be released in fall 2026. This is the next installment in the Minecraft Dungeons series.
We don’t have many specifics yet, but you’ll be able to add the game to your wishlist starting March 21st. This is the first step towards making the game available.
Minecraft Dungeons first came out in 2020 as an action role-playing game where players explore dungeons, all within the world of Minecraft. The upcoming sequel will expand on this original game, adding new things to do and new ways to play.
I was so excited during the broadcast when Mojang announced the Tiny Takeover update! It’s coming on March 24th and will give all the baby mobs a fresh new look in the game. But that wasn’t all – they also revealed Minecraft World, a real-life Minecraft theme park that’s being built in the UK and will open in 2027! Seriously, a Minecraft theme park – I can’t wait!
