MrBeast offers to fund a Naruto anime remake after One Piece update

After hearing about the planned remake of the One Piece anime, MrBeast has asked for a similar modern update for Naruto. He’s even offered to provide financial support for the project, which he’s well-equipped to do.

WIT Studio is creating a complete remake of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series for Netflix. This week, CEO George Wada shared some details about the project in an interview with Ai Chat.

Wada admitted that Toei Animation’s One Piece anime is already good, but the new version will focus on staying true to the original story without dragging things out. They plan to use updated animation while keeping the story strong and the flow smooth.

MrBeast has been talking a lot about One Piece, but he’s also expressed interest in seeing a reboot of another popular series: Naruto.

After AniTV shared news about Wada’s statements, popular YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) replied with a passionate plea: “CAN WE PLEASE GET ONE FOR NARUTO. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, I’LL HELP FUND IT.” He emphasized his request by writing the entire message in capital letters.

Naruto, a hugely popular and impactful manga series, was created by Masashi Kishimoto. It originally appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2014 and tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja determined to earn respect and achieve his dream of becoming the Hokage.

Studio Pierrot turned the story into a very popular and lengthy anime series, including the original Naruto and its continuation, Naruto: Shippuden. With hundreds of episodes, films, and related shows, it has become well-known around the world.

MrBeast is a well-known anime enthusiast, and he particularly loves Naruto. He recently partnered with VIZ Media to create and release a new line of Naruto Shippuden merchandise.

After the popular live-action version of One Piece was released last October, MrBeast posted on X (formerly Twitter) asking Netflix to create a live-action Naruto series, saying he wanted to experience the same childhood joy as One Piece fans.

Lionsgate initially approved a live-action Naruto movie, but development has been stalled. Now, MrBeast seems to be interested in an animated version, and has suggested a complete anime remake similar in style to the new One Piece anime being created by WIT Studio.

Considering his history of financing large-scale ventures and popular giveaways, it’s possible he’d invest significantly in this idea. However, it remains to be seen if movie studios would actually accept his funding.

Fans are already sharing their opinions, and many are excited about the possibility of a Naruto remake. One fan wrote, “A remake with updated graphics would be amazing – it would be so much better than a lot of what’s out there right now!”

Honestly, I think Naruto really needs a fresh take – it’d be amazing if new fans could experience the story without all the slow parts. And seriously, the show is just incredible, a true classic! I’d be totally on board for a remake that cuts out all the filler and just focuses on the main story – that would be epic.

Many people have encouraged MrBeast to simply create the content himself. One person suggested he could even purchase a studio and hire a team to recreate it.

Someone else suggested that with such a large following, the creator could potentially finance their own original anime series, and offered their writing services if needed.
