Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Trailer Just Revealed How Savage Hulk Can Return

The initial trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ hints at a possible way for the Savage Hulk to reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new Spider-Man movie picks up the story after the events of ‘No Way Home,’ where Doctor Strange wiped everyone’s memories of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.

Peter didn’t reconnect with Ned or MJ in the new film, but Jacob Batalon and Zendaya still appear in it, as seen in the first trailer. Besides the returning Spider-Man characters, we’ll also see familiar faces from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.

Bruce Banner has managed to control his transformations into the Hulk, keeping his anger in check. But things might be changing in the upcoming movie, Brand New Day, with rumors suggesting the return of the more aggressive Savage Hulk. While the trailer didn’t show this version of the Hulk, it hinted at a possible trigger that could make Banner lose control.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Villain May Have Mind Control Abilities

The new series, Brand New Day, will include villains like Tombstone and Scorpion. But the trailer hinted at a bigger, unseen danger, with a character played by Tramell Tillman warning, “We are faced with a danger that we can’t control. One we can’t even see.” The identity of this threat is currently unknown, but it may be someone who has psychic or mental powers.

The trailer features a scene where Spider-Man is in a prison observing a woman in a truck who seems to be under some kind of influence. Whatever is possessing her quickly moves from her to a guard, and then to another guard standing nearby. Later, we see Peter Parker’s eyes turn black, hinting that he might also be taken over by a possessing force.

Although no character with mind control has been confirmed for Brand New Day, rumors suggest Sadie Sink might be playing Jean Grey, a character who isn’t typically a villain. However, it seems the film will feature a hidden villain with telepathic abilities.

Savage Hulk’s Return Could Be Similar To Avengers: Age Of Ultron

We haven’t seen the classic, rage-fueled Hulk since the start of Avengers: Infinity War. After being defeated by Thanos, Hulk refused to reappear. Eventually, Bruce Banner managed to merge his intelligence and strength, resulting in the creation of the Professor Hulk persona in Avengers: Endgame.

The only way Bruce Banner could transform back into the Savage Hulk is if he loses control and the Hulk persona takes over. We saw this happen in Avengers: Age of Ultron when Scarlet Witch manipulated Hulk’s mind, resulting in a memorable and destructive fight with Tony Stark in the Hulkbuster armor.

If a villain could control Bruce Banner’s mind, they could unleash the Hulk’s angriest form. While stopping a rampaging Hulk from destroying New York would be incredibly difficult for Spider-Man, it would be thrilling for fans to see that side of the Hulk return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
