Crimson Desert Fast Travel Guide: how to find Abyss Nexus spots

The world of Pywel in Crimson Desert is huge, so learning how to fast travel is key. You’ll discover your first fast travel point – called an Abyss Nexus – early in the main story, located on a floating island. These points look like flat, rocky platforms with a circular design, and you need to stand on them to use them. At first, it can be a little difficult to spot these Nexus points from far away.

This guide won’t give you a list of every Abyss Nexus fast travel location in Pywel. Instead, it will teach you how to find them yourself, helping you know what to look for as you explore. The game’s initial tutorial for fast travel is a little unclear. It says to use your lantern or the Blinding Flash ability to reveal these spots, but that doesn’t always work if you’re too far away.

How to find fast travel points in Crimson Desert

While exploring the vast world of Pywel, you’ll notice some locations on your map marked with a large question mark. This indicates areas yet to be discovered.

If you see a question mark on the map, that’s a good sign there’s a fast travel spot nearby. Try to get a good view of the area from above and use Blinding Flash. You should be able to spot a shimmering object somewhere – here’s a picture of what it looks like.

In the example shown, you’ll see three glowing locations. However, not all of these will be fast travel points. They might instead contain Sealed Abyss Artifacts, or puzzles you can solve in the open world to earn an Abyss Artifact. To find out if a location is actually a fast travel point, you’ll need to visit each one and check it yourself.

To quickly travel to a location, just go there once to activate it. After that, you can return anytime by finding the fast travel icon on your map and pressing Triangle (on PlayStation) or Y (on Xbox). If you don’t see the icon, check that your map is set to show ‘All’ or ‘Environment’ details.
