With the release of the trailer for the new Spider-Man film, ‘Brand New Day,’ many fans are eager to revisit ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ However, it’s currently unavailable to stream on Disney+, leaving many wondering why.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is Tom Holland’s third film as Spider-Man, but it’s not a solo adventure. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who previously played Spider-Man in other movies, also appear in the film.
The film kicks off a massive crossover event involving multiple universes after Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man (Tom Holland), asks Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to help people forget he’s a superhero. However, this attempt accidentally pulls heroes and villains from other universes into the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Many viewers are wondering why Spider-Man: No Way Home isn’t available on Disney+ given it’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The reason is actually quite straightforward.
Why isn’t Spider-Man: No Way Home on Disney+?

Spider-Man: No Way Home isn’t available on Disney+ because Sony Pictures holds the rights to distribute Spider-Man movies.
After canceling Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movies, Sony reached an agreement with Disney and Marvel Studios to allow Spider-Man to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Sony continues to own the rights to Spider-Man and all associated characters.
This ultimately led to Tom Holland being chosen as Spider-Man, and he first appeared in a supporting role in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. He then went on to star in his own series of three Spider-Man movies, and also played a part in the blockbuster films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Where can you stream Spider-Man: No Way Home?

You can now stream Spider-Man: No Way Home on Starz in the United States. It’s also available through the Starz channel on Apple TV or directly on Roku.
Sadly, the final movie in the trilogy isn’t currently included with any UK streaming subscriptions. You can still watch it by renting or buying it on services like Prime Video, Apple TV+, and YouTube.
This also holds true for the other two Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland: Homecoming and Far From Home. Disney+ subscribers can also find Holland’s Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame within the Marvel collection on the service.
UK Netflix subscribers can enjoy all the Spider-Man movies, including Sam Raimi’s original trilogy and both films from The Amazing Spider-Man series.
