Peacemaker fans have already worked out Season 2 Episode 7’s mystery cameo

Okay, so I just saw the trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 7, and it looks like another big character is going to show up! Everyone’s already trying to figure out who it is, and honestly, I think the fans have cracked the code. Just a heads-up though – if you haven’t finished Episode 6 yet, there might be some spoilers ahead!

The latest episode included the show’s most significant guest appearance yet: Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Rick Flag attempted to make a deal with him to locate Peacemaker in another dimension, and this also hinted at a future storyline involving Superman.

Besides Chris, Harcourt, and the team being seemingly transported to an alternate reality resembling a Nazi-victorious World War II (‘Earth X’), will we see alternate versions of other DC heroes, perhaps even a Superman? And will we get another brief hint about Batman, similar to the shadowy glimpse in Creature Commandos?

Based on the trailer for the next-to-last episode of the current season, another character from the world of Superman will be appearing.

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7 trailer teases another Superman cameo

In Episode 7, the show explores the consequences of the shocking Nazi reveal in the alternate world, and Rick Flag will join forces with an unknown ally to locate Chris.

We mostly catch glimpses of them from a distance or only see parts of them, and he questions Flag, asking why he should help.

Who could it be? Some fans think it might be Paul Dano’s Riddler, but even though I’d love to see Robert Pattinson’s Batman join the main DC Universe, this seems unlikely. The Riddler doesn’t have any knowledge of how to open portals to other dimensions, so it doesn’t make sense that Lex Luthor would ask for his help.

The most likely candidate is Sydney Happersen, portrayed by Stephen Blackehart. He was a key scientist and assistant to Lex Luthor throughout the Superman series. Considering his involvement in the destruction of Metropolis – despite repeatedly urging Lex to stop – he’d be a valuable addition to Flag’s team and likely understands how to operate Lex’s technology.

If Lex had a device for finding dimensional portals, Sydney would likely be one of the only people he could trust to use it.

One viewer guessed the man with the mustache was Lex’s assistant and an expert of some kind. Another wondered why the face of the man in handcuffs – who they believed was Stephen Blackheart – was covered.

Some people think the voice saying, “What’s my reason for helping you?” sounds like David Corenswet, and it’s possible he’s actually voicing the character of Overman in that clip.

Before next week, be sure to explore more about Van Kull, stay updated on the music from Peacemaker Season 2, and learn about the reason for the recasting of the original Vigilante.
