Woman caught on Coldplay kiss cam slams Ryan Reynolds & Gwyneth Paltrow’s spoof video

Kristin Cabot, who became known after a video of her kissing her boss at a Coldplay concert went viral, is responding to jokes made about the incident by Ryan Reynolds and Gwyneth Paltrow.

While working as the head of human resources at the tech company Astronomer, Cabot was filmed kissing the company’s married CEO, Andy Byron.

The video became incredibly popular online, quickly reaching over 300 billion views. It inspired countless jokes, skits, and memes making fun of Cabot, including a parody advertisement created by Ryan Reynolds featuring Gwyneth Paltrow pretending to be Cabot’s spokesperson.

Christie Cabot recently responded to criticism in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she publicly challenged several powerful figures in Hollywood.

Kristin Cabot calls spoof commercial “hypocritical and unnecessary”

In the interview, Cabot talked about what was happening in her personal life when the incident occurred, and how the widespread attention it received affected her family, job, and overall well-being.

She also reacted to the parody ad, telling Winfrey she was truly let down. She felt it was hypocritical of Gwyneth, whose company Goop focuses on empowering women and their health – especially since Gwyneth doesn’t need the money – to contribute to the controversy. She simply didn’t understand why Gwyneth felt the need to escalate the situation, finding it unnecessary.

She also pointed out Ryan Reynolds’ role in the ad, noting he produced and created it. Given that his wife, Blake Lively, recently dealt with a similar legal issue involving Justin Baldoni, she found it surprising that he would approve this campaign.

Oprah Winfrey explained that she had spoken with Gwyneth Paltrow prior to the interview. Paltrow had been informed that both Winfrey and Andy Byron had approved the commercial, and she stated she wouldn’t have participated if she hadn’t received that confirmation.

Winfrey followed up by asking Cabot if she had approved the commercial. Cabot immediately said she hadn’t, and explained that this made the situation much more difficult, both at the time and in the following weeks.

It also became much more difficult for my children. Since she’s a celebrity and they’re teenagers, they were aware of who she was, which just complicated things unnecessarily.
