A new Stranger Things spinoff called Tales From ’85 is coming to Netflix in April. But you can see the first two episodes on the big screen a week early! Here’s how and where to catch them in cinemas.

The fifth season of Stranger Things ended with a big, movie-length finale that was released in both theaters and on Netflix at the same time.

The new animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, is releasing episodes similarly to other shows, but fans can watch the first two a week in advance, starting April 18th. The full season will then be available on April 23rd.

How to get cinema tickets for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85

Tickets for the Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 movie event are available starting today, Wednesday, March 18th, at 8:00 AM Pacific Time (11:00 AM Eastern Time).

You can see the film at 34 AMC theaters, plus the Paris Theater in New York City and Netflix House in Philadelphia.

What is the Stranger Things spinoff about?

Tales From ’85 is a new sci-fi story featuring the main characters from Stranger Things, set between the second and third seasons of the show.

It’s winter 1985, and the town is covered in snow. The terrifying events from the Upside Down seem to be in the past. Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max are trying to get back to normal, enjoying things like Dungeons & Dragons, snowball fights, and peaceful days.

Something frightening has stirred beneath the ice, and its origins are unknown. Is it connected to the Upside Down, the secrets of Hawkins Lab, or something completely different? Now, our heroes must work quickly to uncover the truth and protect Hawkins in this brand new Stranger Things adventure.
