Want to find more activities in Borderlands 4? Check out the in-game events! These world events offer extra rewards when you join in.
On top of everything else, the second Bounty Pack DLC, Legend of the Stone Demon, added a new event called Ordonite Processing. In this event, you gather Ordonite by defeating enemies and then deposit it into a special machine.
Okay, so I’m gonna walk you through everything about the Ordonite Processing event in Borderlands 4. I’ll cover how it works and, most importantly, how to snag all the sweet rewards they’re offering. Basically, I’ll get you prepped to maximize your gains!
Ordonite Processing Event Locations

You’ll first encounter the Ordonite Processing event while exploring The Demon’s Domain in the Legend of the Stone Demon DLC. You’ll find a device on the cave floor that begins the event.
Once you finish the event inside the cave, you’ll be able to return to it easily from three different spots on the map. Here’s where they are:
- The Fadefields: In a field to the southwest of Shut Eye Keep.
- Carcadia Burn: In the Yawning Yard section of the region, to the south of the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse.
- Terminus Range: Against the mountains to the south of the Heritage Opus Safehouse.
Every area on the map features an Ordonite Processing event, known as ‘Ordonite Up.’ To begin these events, you must first interact with the machine located in the downloadable content cave.
How to Complete the Ordonite Processing Event Ordonite Up
You’ll learn the basics of the Ordonite Up event while playing through the Legend of the Stone Demon DLC, specifically inside the cave. Once you’ve finished that part, you can begin the event by interacting with the handles at the locations mentioned earlier.
To begin the event, it costs 200 Eridium. If you don’t have enough, you’ll need to gather some first.
Pulling the lever starts the machine, which will lift a platform into the air. This platform creates a suction effect below it. You need to gather Ordonite and throw it into the machine so it can be processed.
Enemies called Load-Bearing Rat-A-Tats carry Ordonite. You can easily identify them by the containers on their backs, though they can be hard to find during intense fights.
First, toss in three containers, then five more, and finally seven. You’ll have four minutes to throw in all fifteen containers and finish the task.

If you don’t collect enough containers, the event will end and you won’t earn any rewards. It’s much easier to finish this event if you play with friends, so I recommend teaming up!
After every group of enemies, a tougher one will appear with crystals on its body. Just like the boss fights in the downloadable content, such as against Bore-Tex, you’ll need to break those crystals before you can actually hurt it.
Defeating these enemies is key to moving forward in the event. After placing enough containers, you’ll need to finish off the remaining enemies to complete it.
