I’m really excited to hear that Doritos is coming out with a new chip that’s packed with protein! It’s cool to see them take one of their classic snacks and give it a healthy boost – it’s a fun and functional twist on something I already love.
Doritos is launching new Protein chips, made like their regular tortilla chips, starting in March at some stores across the U.S. Each one-ounce serving has 10 grams of protein, and later this year, they’ll also release single-serve bags with 17 grams of protein.
PepsiCo says this new product offers snackers another choice while still delivering the classic Doritos taste they love. It’s meant to be enjoyed as a simple snack, not as something to fuel workouts or replace a meal.
Doritos adds protein-focused chips to its snack lineup
Doritos Protein chips are coming soon in two flavors: Nacho Cheese and Sweet & Tangy BBQ. These chips get their protein from dairy (casein) and are made without any artificial colors or flavors. Best of all, they still deliver the classic Doritos taste and satisfying crunch you love.

As a gamer, I’m always hearing about companies trying to keep up with what people want, and PepsiCo is no different. Their marketing boss, Hernán Tantardini, basically said they’re working on new snacks with extra benefits – stuff people are really looking for these days. It’s all about making sure their products fit what we’re craving!
Customers increasingly want protein in their salty snacks, and we’re now making it easier for them to get it with Doritos, fitting into their daily routines without changing the bold flavor they love.
PepsiCo is entering the protein snack market with this new product, hoping to blend healthy ingredients into snacks people already enjoy.
Doritos Protein is designed for people who already love Doritos, as well as those wanting to add more protein to their diet without changing their favorite snacks.
The company explains this product is designed for everyday snacking – like a quick bite at lunchtime or when you’re out and about – not for use during workouts or to improve athletic performance. Doritos Protein isn’t meant to replace regular Doritos; it simply adds another option to the brand’s existing range of snacks.
This announcement from Doritos follows their recent Flavor Swap release, which was created with popular online personalities like IShowSpeed, Madison Beer, and Dude Perfect.
