Nioh 3 Release Date Reportedly Leaks Ahead Of Official Reveal

It looks like the release date for Nioh 3 might have been revealed ahead of schedule. Listings on online stores suggest the game, a souls-like action RPG from Team Ninja, will launch on February 6, 2026. Amazon Japan listed both a standard version of Nioh 3 and a special “Treasure Box” collector’s edition, which includes an art book, mousepad, soundtrack CD, and a keychain with a furry charm.

The listings for the game have been taken down, but they briefly revealed the cover art and what would be included in a collector’s edition. While publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja haven’t officially announced a release date, today’s PlayStation State of Play seems like a good place to expect an announcement, especially since Nioh 3 is also coming to PS5 and PC.

Okay, so in Nioh 3, you actually get to play as a reimagined version of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who was a really important historical figure – Japan’s first shogun! The game is all about fighting off these crazy supernatural enemies, and you do it by mastering both samurai and ninja skills. The developers, Team Ninja, have said they really took inspiration from their Ninja Gaiden series, and a big change in this game is how easily you can switch between different fighting styles – it’s super fluid and lets you adapt to any situation.

Samurai characters can regain stamina after attacking thanks to a special ability called Ki Pulse. Ninjas, on the other hand, can create a decoy of Tokugawa using a mist ability, which helps distract enemies.

The next game from Team Ninja, Ninja Gaiden 4, will be released on October 21st. This latest addition to the popular Ninja Gaiden series was created in partnership with Platinum Games.
