Just 17 days after launching the game Highguard, Wildlight Entertainment is reportedly planning to lay off employees across the company.
It’s been a little over two weeks since the game Highguard launched, and reports are surfacing that developers at the California studio are being laid off. While the exact number of affected employees isn’t known, one person who lost their job says the cuts impact “most of the team.”
Level Designer Alex Graner announced on LinkedIn that he was laid off today, along with much of the team at Wildlight. He expressed disappointment, noting that he and his colleagues had created a lot of exciting content for Highguard that will now likely go unreleased.
TopMob has reached out to Wildlight Entertainment for further comment on the scope of the layoffs.
