Ahead of its release, the movie Masters of the Universe has shared new photos of its main characters. Fans can now see what Nicholas Galitzine looks like as He-Man and Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, giving a fresh look at these classic heroes and villains from the world of Eternia.

On February 6, 2026, social media accounts dedicated to entertainment news released new photos from the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. The images feature Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, shown with the Power Sword and wearing his iconic, simple armor. Alison Brie is also pictured in full costume as Evil-Lyn, including her signature purple headdress and orb.
Travis Knight is directing the new film, set to be released in theaters by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel on June 5, 2026. According to Knight, the movie will stay true to the playful spirit of the original series. He told Empire, “We’re definitely leaning into the silliness, and that’s a good thing!” He also explained that the script is designed to make the story relatable to today’s viewers.
Nicholas Galitzine will play Prince Adam, who transforms into He-Man, and Alison Brie is Evil-Lyn. The cast also includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan (Man-At-Arms), and Jared Leto as Skeletor. James Purefoy will be King Randor, Morena Baccarin is the Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson plays Fisto, Charlotte Riley is Queen Marlena, and Kristen Wiig portrays Roboto.
Masters of the Universe began as a popular toy line from Mattel in 1982. It quickly grew into a full franchise, including the animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe which aired from 1983 to 1985. The world of He-Man also expanded to include comics, video games, and a live-action movie released in 1987.
In the 2026 live-action reboot, Prince Adam returns to his home world, Eternia, after being away for 15 years. He finds that Skeletor has seized control while he was gone, and the Power Sword is no longer within reach.
