CRG Studio announced that their free-to-play steampunk action RPG, Crystalfall, will enter Early Access in March 2026. The game, which draws inspiration from titles like Path of Exile and Diablo 2, is set in a broken, post-apocalyptic world after an asteroid impact. Players will become mutants searching for valuable crystal shards and powerful items in challenging dungeons. Crystalfall focuses on continuous character improvement, extensive endgame content, and creating unique, strategic character builds.
The game will also be featured at the next Steam Next Fest, where players can try out a demo of the first part of the story from February 23rd to March 2nd. Soon after, Crystalfall will be released on Steam as a free-to-play Early Access game.
CRG Studio is teaming up with PlayPark, the publisher for Southeast Asia, to celebrate the launch of Crystalfall’s Early Access! They’re running a special campaign where players can earn exclusive, lava-themed items for the game. Just pre-register with your email and add Crystalfall to your Steam wishlist to unlock these rewards before the game officially releases.
Crystalfall is designed for players who enjoy trying out different builds and making steady progress over time. The game offers a deep talent system, relies heavily on finding better loot to improve your character, and uses skills that are generated randomly. You can actually find new skills as loot, and each skill has its own unique progression path. These skills can be further enhanced with upgrades and special items called Skill Crests. Items themselves are customizable with special properties, adding a lot of depth to the game’s item system.
Crystalfall lets you build your character however you want, without being tied to specific classes. You can mix and match weapons, skills, and equipment – from guns and shields to magical staffs – to create unique and powerful combinations. When the game first launches into Early Access, it will feature three character origins, five story chapters, a first look at endgame content, and the ability to trade with other players. It will also be available in 11 different languages.
Crystalfall is gaining a lot of attention on Steam, with over 60,000 players adding it to their wishlists. It looks like it will be a great action RPG for both newcomers and experienced players who enjoy complex character building.
