Blizzard is adding new Passive abilities to every hero in Overwatch, and also introducing Sub-roles within the Tank, Damage, and Support classes.
Overwatch has evolved a lot recently. The game receives regular updates with new characters and game modes to maintain excitement, and the introduction of the Perks system in 2025 significantly altered how matches play out.
This is a major update for the game, one of the biggest since its release in 2016. The developers are now releasing another significant update that will likely redefine how characters function.
Okay, so here’s the deal: on February 10th, when Overwatch’s Season 1 kicks off and everything changes, they’re adding sub-roles to each of the three roles – Tank, Damage, and Support. Each sub-role will give you a little bonus, which should make things interesting!
