Skate features Stunt Challenges, which are consistently available throughout the game world. Completing these challenges earns you great rewards for your character. Be warned, though – some of them are incredibly tough and may seem impossible to finish at first!
The “Good Luck” challenge is a famously difficult early task in Skate, consisting of four parts. The final step – landing in the Broken Globe – is widely considered the hardest part of the entire game. If you’re struggling with this challenge, check out the guide below for help.
How to start the Good Luck challenge in Skate
Okay, so I just found this awesome new challenge in Skate called the Good Luck Stunt Challenge! It’s in Hedgemont, and it’s pretty easy to spot – look for a yellow diamond with a skater wearing a skull helmet. You can skate right to it, or if you’ve unlocked a fast travel point nearby, you can just zap over! Once you’re there, just start the challenge, and your first goal is to ‘Caveman onto the Rooftop.’ It sounds intense, and I can’t wait to try it!
Just like other Stunt Challenges, you can tackle these goals in any order – you don’t have to follow the list! You can actually complete everything from the same spot. We recommend saving the broken globe task for the very end, as it naturally concludes the challenge.
It’s important to mark your progress after finishing each goal and before starting the next, because you’ll likely need multiple attempts to complete each task. This is especially true for the final challenge in the Good Luck Stunt Challenge – successfully landing in the Broken Globe.
How to Land in the Broken Globe in Skate
After finishing the first three parts of the Good Luck Stunt Challenge, you need to land inside the Broken Globe. There’s only one place on the map where you can do this – the exact spot where you finished the other tasks. To help you, place a Session Marker on the rooftop that has a view of the curved roof and the mountains behind it.
Gain some speed on the roof, then jump to the curved rooftop. As you approach, jump off your board and glide. Right before you reach the edge, hop back on, ride along the curve, and then glide again.
You’ll now see the rooftop dumpster and the window you used to reach the garage dumpster from earlier. But don’t go near them to find the Broken Globe. Instead, head to the left, towards the roof that’s slanted and has several windows.
Position yourself to the left of the damaged windows, then quickly move towards them just before reaching them. Aim to have your character collide with the wall around the middle of the slanted roof where the windows are. If you do it right, your character will fall straight down, and you’ll land near the Broken Globe.
To get into the broken globe, you’ll need to bounce off the wall, but the exact spot to hit will vary depending on how your character falls. While aiming for the middle of the wall is a good starting point, you might need to adjust higher or lower depending on your character’s bounce. Try hitting the wall at an angle – sideways is best – to increase your chances of landing directly inside the globe. For a visual guide on where and how to bounce, we suggest watching the linked YouTube video.
