Ana de Armas has become very popular over the past ten years, thanks to her roles in films like Knives Out, No Time to Die, and the upcoming John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. However, her limited screen time in Danny Boyle’s recent fantasy film sparked a lawsuit from some of her most devoted fans against the movie studio. Now, that controversial film is about to disappear from streaming platforms.
The movie Yesterday presents a world where everyone has forgotten The Beatles except for one man, who uses this to his advantage as a musician. While the film did fairly well in theaters, it sparked controversy because Ana de Armas was featured in promotional trailers and online listings, but her scenes were ultimately cut from the final version. Two fans, who rented the movie specifically to see de Armas, even filed a $5 million lawsuit, arguing that the trailer was misleading and constituted false advertising.
Even though the couple only paid $3.99 for the movie, their lawsuit was dismissed by a judge who considered their complaints to be a result of their own actions. While the claim was settled, Universal was still upset about spending two years and a lot of money on legal fees to fight what they saw as a completely baseless case.
If you’re okay with the fact that Ana de Armas isn’t in it, you can watch Yesterday on Netflix until the end of the month. After that, it will likely move to a different streaming service.

She also played a key role in No Time to Die with Daniel Craig and is set to star in Ballerina opposite Keanu Reeves.
