Every Main Jujutsu Kaisen Hero, Ranked From Weakest To Strongest

Jujutsu Kaisen features a lot of incredibly strong characters, especially among its heroes. While many of the sorcerers are still developing their abilities, each main character is exceptionally powerful and can control their cursed energy in impressive ways.

It’s tough to say who the strongest hero really is. At first glance, someone might seem clearly more powerful than the others, but when you look closer at everyone’s unique skills and abilities, it’s not so simple.

7. Nobara Kugisaki

Grade 3

Nobara isn’t the strongest of the main characters, but that’s only because she’s up against some incredibly gifted and rare individuals.

Nobara fights using a hammer, nails, and a straw doll. She can stick nails into the doll to seriously injure her enemies – it’s similar to how voodoo dolls are often shown working.

Nobara is a promising character in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, but hasn’t fully shown what she’s capable of yet. While she has the potential to become incredibly powerful, it’s still uncertain how strong she ultimately will be. Given the uncertainty surrounding her fate in season 3, fans are left to imagine how her abilities might have developed.

6. Maki Zenin

Grade 4

Maki Zenin has no right to be as strong as she is.

Maki was born without any magical abilities, but she’s one of the rare characters in Jujutsu Kaisen to make a special deal called a Heavenly Pact. This pact significantly boosts her physical strength, speed, and endurance, despite her naturally having very little cursed energy.

Maki was strong enough to survive Jogo’s flames, and that’s no small achievement.

Gojo thought Maki deserved to be ranked as a Grade 2 Sorcerer, but the Zenin clan’s influence held her back, and she remained a Grade 4 despite her considerable talent.

5. Megumi Fushiguro

Grade 2

Megumi never really got the time to shine that he deserved.

Megumi is a powerful sorcerer who’s mastered Domain Expansion – a rare feat as one of Gojo’s students. However, he hasn’t yet had the opportunity to truly demonstrate his skills in a challenging battle.

Fans might call Megumi one of anime’s biggest frauds, but he is canonically quite strong.

Fans are hoping to see more of Megumi in the upcoming season of Jujutsu Kaisen so he can prove people wrong about claims that he’s not as strong as they say.

4. Aoi Todo

Grade 1 Sorcerer

Aoi Todo is one of the most comically over-the-top characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, but thankfully, his power matches his eccentric personality, making him a valuable asset to Jujutsu High.

Todo is incredibly powerful, and when he teams up with Yuji, they can accomplish amazing things. For example, these two high school students managed to defeat Hanami, one of the most formidable Cursed Spirits in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Todo was incredibly strong during his peak in Jujutsu Kaisen, but he lost a crucial ability during the Shibuya Incident. Because he lost his hand, he can no longer perform his special technique, Boogie Woogie, which allowed him to instantly swap positions with another person.

It’s unknown if Todo is still able to use his Boogie Woogie in Jujutsu Kaisen, but he may need time to find a different way to apply it.

Even without his Boogie Woogie ability, Todo is an incredibly powerful and dangerous sorcerer. He’s exceptionally strong physically, and he uses that strength to devastating effect.

3. Yuji Itadori

Unranked

Yuji Itadori began the series Jujutsu Kaisen possessing impressive physical abilities. He was naturally quick and powerful, suggesting he had a large amount of cursed energy within him.

By the time of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, however, Yuji’s potential is finally starting to be realized.

Itadori dedicated a lot of time to defeating Cursed Spirits, which helped him grow stronger and gain valuable experience.

The fact that Yuji is still alive is a strong indication of his potential. While powerful allies like Sukuna and Gojo have certainly helped him, his own resilience and determination are also key factors. In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, very few sorcerers possess Yuji’s unwavering spirit.

Even though he isn’t currently the strongest sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen as of season 3, his incredible power suggests he could become a top contender in the future.

2. Yuta Okkotsu

Special Grade

Yuta Okkotsu, the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was once a timid boy who lacked confidence. However, he’s actually incredibly powerful.

Yuta possesses an overwhelming amount of cursed energy, making him capable of defeating almost any other sorcerer he faces.

Yuta’s power comes from his connection to Rika, a cursed spirit who used to be his childhood friend. She cares for him deeply and will fiercely protect him, even resorting to violence against anyone she perceives as a threat.

Beyond being a powerful attacker, Yuta also has the ability to use his cursed energy to heal others.

Yuta is the whole package, but unfortunately, he just can’t compete against his master.

1. Satoru Gojo

Special Grade

Often, the simplest explanation is the right one. The series repeatedly emphasizes that Gojo is the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and he consistently proves it to be true.

Honestly, Gojo is just on another level! His Six Eyes, combined with Limitless and Hollow, create this incredible balance – he’s basically untouchable. It’s wild to think that opponents can get close, like infinitely close, to landing a hit, but they can never actually connect. It makes damaging him almost impossible, which is a huge part of why he’s so powerful!

Gojo is unbelievably strong, and the Shibuya Incident arc in Jujutsu Kaisen largely revolves around finding a way to deal with him so other characters can move forward with their goals without his interference.

Gojo is incredibly powerful – so much so that even the author of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami, felt limited by his strength when writing. He’s easily the strongest of the main characters, with only Sukuna, the King of Curses, potentially being stronger.
