Pete Davidson is trying something new with his latest project – a unique show for Netflix. The comedian, known from his time on Saturday Night Live, has previously had stand-up specials and the film The King of Staten Island on the streaming service. His new show, appropriately named The Pete Davidson Show, will be filmed in his garage and will function as a video podcast, according to a statement reported by Variety.
Pete Davidson’s new show will feature him having open and honest talks with celebrity friends, all filmed in his garage.
Starting January 30th, you’ll be able to watch The Pete Davidson Show on Netflix, with new episodes dropping each week. This show is one of several podcasts Netflix is bringing to its platform as exclusive content. They’re teaming up with popular podcast companies like Spotify and iHeartMedia to offer entertainment that rivals YouTube, and they’ve already announced other shows, such as Michael Irvin’s The White House.
Pete Davidson has released two comedy specials on Netflix: Alive From New York in 2020 and Turbo Fonzarelli in 2024. The former Saturday Night Live cast member is grateful for Netflix’s support of his work, and he’s confident his upcoming podcast will be enjoyable, though he hasn’t announced any guest stars yet.
Netflix was where I released my first stand-up special, so it made sense to also launch the podcast there. It’s just me and my friends chatting about all sorts of things – it’s going to be a lot of fun!
