Makaism: Frenzy of the Netherworld 3rd Japanese trailer showcases Prinny and other Servants

I’m so excited! Nippon Ichi Software just dropped a new trailer for Kyouran Makaism in Japan, and they’ve also added a bunch of info to the official website about how the ‘Servant’ system works. Even better news – it’s officially coming to the West as Makaism: Frenzy of the Netherworld! Clouded Leopard Entertainment is publishing it across Asia, and thankfully, they’re including an English subtitle option, which is awesome for those of us who don’t speak Japanese.

You’ll be able to recruit 16 different types of Servants—including Prinny, the mascot from Nippon Ichi—and bring up to 4 with you into battles. These Servants are fully customizable: you can change their name, color, how they fight, their stats, and even the special ability the hero, N.A., uses when they transform into a weapon. Later on, you can ‘reincarnate’ a Servant to reset their level, giving them permanent stat boosts. Reincarnation also lets you change their species while still keeping the unique skills they learned as their original type.

Check out the new Japanese trailer and screenshots below! Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release Makaism: Frenzy of the Netherworld in Asia on January 29th, the same day Nippon Ichi releases Kyouran Makaism in Japan for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 1&2. The Asian version will feature subtitles in English, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. However, NIS America hasn’t announced a release date for the game in Western regions or on PC globally yet.
