A new report suggests Marvel Studios might be developing a new Disney+ series with some of its most popular characters.
What do we know about a new Marvel Disney+ TV show?
According to industry insider James Mack, Marvel is developing a new animated Avengers series for Disney+. While details are scarce, Mack revealed this information while responding to inquiries about potential new seasons of Marvel Zombies or What If…?
If Disney+ creates an animated Avengers series, it will probably feature many of Marvel’s most popular heroes. It’s unknown whether the actors who play these heroes in the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe would also voice them in the animated series. Some animated Marvel shows, like ‘What If…?’, have brought back the original actors, but others have used different voice talent.
Marvel has a growing number of animated series on Disney+, including recent releases like the Marvel Zombies miniseries. The studio has also been receiving a lot of positive attention for its animated shows, particularly X-Men ’97 and Eyes of Wakanda, which have been praised by viewers.
Marvel Studios has several new shows coming to Disney+. Wonder Man, a live-action series, is scheduled to debut on January 27, 2026. Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will follow on March 4, 2026. Plus, fans can look forward to VisionQuest and more episodes of the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man later in 2024.
