Terraria, the popular game by Re-Logic, is celebrating its 15th anniversary! Even after all these years, the developers are still adding new content. They’ve been hinting at the upcoming update, version 1.4.5, for months, and now it’s officially launching later this month.
Re-Logic announced on the official Terraria website that the 1.4.5 update will be released on January 27th. They explained that a slight delay was necessary because they had to resubmit some files, pushing the release date back a little further than planned.
Re-Logic hasn’t revealed everything that’s new in the latest update, but they’ve given hints in their monthly news posts. For example, villagers won’t automatically require a house to appear, but they will ask you to build one for them if they don’t have one already.
Terraria’s 1.4.5 update introduced a fun new item called the RC Car, modeled after the Kwad Racer Drone. Players can use it to race across the Terraria world and even drive up walls! You’ll be able to create your own custom racetracks, and Re-Logic encourages players to share their creations later on.

Terraria and Palworld are crossing over! After Terraria content was added to Palworld last summer, the new Terraria 1.4.5 update will bring Palworld elements into Terraria. So far, Digtoise is the only confirmed Pal, and it will assist players with mining, but more Pals are planned for the update.
Terraria’s upcoming update, version 1.4.5, will address almost 900 bugs and include many smaller improvements. Re-Logic will share more details closer to the update’s release on January 27th.
