Viewers excited about Percy Jackson and the Olympians are getting a sneak peek at Season 3 thanks to Walker Scobell, who plays the lead role. He’s hinted at some big things happening with the storyline in the new season.
Walker Scobell says Percy Jackson Season 3 is ‘the most book-accurate season’
Even though new episodes of Percy Jackson Season 2 are still being released each week, filming for Season 3 has already begun. Season 3 will be based on the third book in the series, ‘The Titan’s Curse.’ Walker Scobell recently told The Direct’s Gillian Blum that he’s very excited about what’s to come in the new storyline.
According to Walker Scobell, Season 3 is the most faithful adaptation of the source material so far. He believes the book lends itself perfectly to an eight-episode format and expressed overall satisfaction with the season’s development. Scobell also hinted that Season 3 will be significantly larger in scope and more intense, comparing the increase to the jump in scale between the first and second seasons of Percy Jackson.
Right now, I’m really excited about Season 3. I enjoyed Season 2 a lot, but Season 3 is even better—it takes everything to a whole new level. Season 2 was a big step up from Season 1, and Season 3 is the same leap forward again. I think if we get a Season 4, it will continue that pattern and be even more impressive.
Season 3 of The Titan’s Curse centers around a very personal mission for Percy. When Annabeth falls off a cliff and everyone believes she’s gone, Percy dedicates himself entirely to finding and saving her.
Scobell explained that this portrayal of Percy is intensely focused on achieving a particular objective. He also discussed an interesting character development planned over the course of the series, emphasizing Percy’s difficulties with acting without thinking.
Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians promises to be the best adaptation yet of ‘The Titan’s Curse,’ offering a more emotionally complex story that fans are eagerly anticipating.
