The latest edition of Madden NFL predicts the Houston Texans will win against the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round with a score of 31-21.

The Texans’ defense is playing incredibly well and leading the team to victories. Linebacker E.J. Speed contributed to another defensive touchdown – the third in two weeks – by intercepting a pass from Drake Maye and running it back 21 yards for a score. Thanks to two field goals by Ka’imi Fairbairn, the Texans were ahead 13-0 early in the second quarter.

The Texans quickly built a 20-0 lead when running back Woody Marks scored on an 18-yard run. However, New England answered right back with a 1-yard touchdown run by running back Rhamondre Stevenson on their next possession.

Despite a brief moment of success, the Patriots struggled again in the third quarter. Houston extended their lead with a 13-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Jaylin Noel, and then successfully converted a two-point attempt, putting them ahead by 21 points.

The Patriots quickly drove down the field and scored again, this time with running back TreVeyon Henderson catching a 9-yard touchdown pass from Drake Maye. However, the Texans responded by taking over six minutes off the clock before kicking a field goal, making the score 31-14.

Maye added another touchdown late in the game, but it wasn’t enough. The Patriots tried an onside kick to regain possession, but failed, and Houston won. Although the Patriots had a good team and a strong record, they couldn’t overcome Houston’s powerful defense.

The Texans won and are now heading to the Conference Championship, where they’ll face either the Buffalo Bills or the Denver Broncos.
