AI artist flies up Spotify charts with multiple songs and millions of listeners

Sienna Rose, an artist many believe was created using artificial intelligence, is quickly becoming popular on Spotify, attracting nearly 3 million monthly listeners and gaining attention from celebrities.

Artificial intelligence is showing up more and more in creative fields. We’re seeing AI services that can create images for things like posters, and even edit existing photos. But it’s not just visuals – AI is also making a splash in the world of music.

Musicians are facing a new challenge: AI-generated songs are becoming popular on platforms like Spotify and TikTok, and many listeners can’t tell the difference between real artists and AI creations. It often takes a closer look to discover the music isn’t made by a human.

Xania Monet, an AI artist created by poet Telisha Jones, has become well-known after signing a major record deal and achieving chart success. Now, another AI artist, Sienna Rose, is starting to gain attention.

Sienna Rose takes over on Spotify amid AI claims

The discussion surrounding Sienna Rose began around mid-2025, when her music first appeared on Spotify. Many listeners quickly connected with her songs, and shared their enthusiasm on social media.

As 2026 begins, the artist continues to find success. As of January 14th, she has three songs charting on the Viral 50 – USA, with her most popular song, “Into the Blue,” currently at number six.

Rose is now attracting almost 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. This number appears to include actress Selena Gomez, who shared one of the artist’s songs in a recent post from the Golden Globes.

An AI artist named Sienna Rose has three songs currently in the Spotify Top 50, and most people aren’t aware the artist is AI. Selena Gomez recently shared one of these songs on her Instagram, mentioning the Golden Globes.

Artist linked to Sienna Rose admits to using AI

Rose, an AI-created artist on Spotify, doesn’t openly state that she’s artificial. However, her profile features a link to another artist, Let Babylon Burn, who does acknowledge being created by AI.

Let Babylon Burn is a Norwegian independent artist who writes deeply personal lyrics and combines them with acoustic music, innovative production, and the power of AI. While their sound draws from many genres, it’s rooted in reggae, and each song aims to be both meaningful and emotionally impactful.

Sienna Rose seemingly uses AI on social media

Rose’s Instagram and TikTok accounts don’t mention she’s AI. However, a photo on her Instagram shows what appears to be six fingers holding a champagne bottle. Unusual details like extra fingers or strange text often indicate an image was created using artificial intelligence.

People are starting to wonder if ‘Rose’ is a genuine artist because her number of followers on social media is much lower than the number of people listening to her music on Spotify.

I’ve been seeing some chatter online about little audio hiccups in her songs. One person, Redditor No-Program-8185, specifically pointed out a weird robotic crackling sound in “Under The Rain” around the 1:40-1:41 mark – and honestly, when I listened, it’s pretty noticeable. It’s definitely there!
