As a gamer, I always thought Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was untouchable – it’s consistently had the highest user score on Metacritic. But believe it or not, a Cory in the House game on the Nintendo DS is actually giving it a run for its money! It’s pretty wild to see those two titles even mentioned in the same breath.
Currently, the Disney Channel show Cory in the House has an incredibly high user score of 9.4, surpassing even highly-rated games like Silent Hill 2 and The Witcher 3. Popular titles such as The Last of Us, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and Baldur’s Gate 3 all have scores of 9.2, falling just below it.
Actually, the only game that currently ranks higher is Clair Obscur, which received an incredible 9.5 rating when it came out in 2025.
Okay, so the ratings are always changing with all the new reviews coming in, but it looks like “Cory in the House” is really closing in on being considered a classic RPG by Sandfall Interactive – which is awesome!

So, why are we talking about a Cory in the House video game? Chances are, you haven’t played it – it was a 2008 adventure game based on the ‘That’s So Raven’ spin-off, and frankly, neither have I. It wasn’t well-received, with critics giving it very low scores – the only two reviews available give it a 3 and a 4 out of 10.
Even though it was initially poorly received, it unexpectedly became a popular internet meme. Back in 2013, a humorous campaign started on 4chan and then spread to Reddit, jokingly calling it an anime game, which caused its user rating to jump to a very high 9.5.
Though its popularity decreased a little over time, dedicated fans continued to support the meme by giving it glowing reviews, helping it maintain a high ranking.

Starting in January 2026, the game unexpectedly gained popularity again, with a surge of new players giving it perfect 10/10 reviews.
One review calls this “the greatest piece of art ever,” while another user enthusiastically encourages everyone to share it, describing it as a “divine gift.”
Some passionate fans are deliberately leaving negative reviews for the game Clair Obscur, hoping to boost another DS title to the top spot. One fan wrote, “Honestly, this game doesn’t deserve a 9.5 (or was it 9.6?), a true masterpiece like Cory in the House on DS should have that score instead.”
