Cameron recently told TVBS News Japan that Michelle Yeoh will appear as a Na’vi character in both Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, using performance-capture technology. This news had actually been reported as early as 2019.

James Cameron has revealed that Michelle Yeoh will appear in both Avatar 4 and Avatar 5. She’ll be playing a Na’vi character named Palakpuelat, using performance-capture technology.

The director discussed the challenges of creating Avatar films. He explained that if they proceed with a fourth movie, they plan to film it alongside a fifth, but the overall cost of both depends on how well Avatar 3: Fire and Ash performs at the box office.

Michelle Yeoh is slated to appear in Avatar 4, but its production depends on the financial success of the franchise.
