Despite ongoing hopes for a Keith Moon film, news has surfaced about Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming biopic. Jack Osbourne recently revealed on SiriusXM that they’ve cast a “phenomenal” actor to play his father, a project that’s been in the works for years, even before Ozzy’s death in 2025. While Jack wouldn’t share the actor’s name, he confirmed a director is on board and they’re currently rewriting the script. Apparently, Ozzy gave the film his blessing but wasn’t concerned with the details, simply saying he wanted to see it when it was finished. Jack previously mentioned the film will cover the period from 1979 to 1999, focusing on Ozzy’s solo career after releasing Blizzard of Ozz in 1980 and his relationship with his wife, Sharon. They had initially hoped Bill Hader would play Ozzy, but he quickly dismissed the idea. With the recent Beatles biopics taking up many of the top British actors, it’s likely the role will go to an American.
