Battlefield 6 launched successfully in October 2025, even surpassing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in US sales for a month. However, player opinions have become more divided recently, reflected in a change from mostly positive to mixed reviews on Steam. Some players have also criticized EA for focusing on in-game purchases and for the game’s use of AI-generated content.

It’s still unclear exactly how Battlefield Studios will adjust Season 2 based on player feedback. While the details of Season 2 haven’t been released yet, players can anticipate new maps, weapons, game modes, and other additions.
