Burger King is testing a breakfast Whopper topped with eggs and hash browns

Burger King is testing a new Whopper that puts a breakfast-inspired spin on its signature burger.

Burger King is testing a new Whopper in some areas: the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper. It’s a regular Whopper topped with a fried egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese, and it’s only available for a limited time in select restaurants.

This sandwich is packed with flavor! It has a quarter-pound beef patty, crispy bacon, a fried egg, creamy cheddar cheese sauce, golden hash browns, and a tangy hollandaise aioli, all served on a soft sesame seed bun.

I saw on Instagram – that Snackolator account is always on top of things – that McDonald’s is testing a new burger! It started on January 8th, and right now you can only find it in Raleigh, North Carolina and Portland, Oregon. I’m seriously hoping it rolls out nationwide if the test goes well!

You can find the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper on online menus at participating restaurants for $7.99. A smaller version, the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper Jr., costs $4.79. Both are available for a limited time only.

Burger King is updating its menu and now offers hash browns all day at many locations, thanks to the new Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper. Previously, hash browns were usually only available during breakfast.

It’s still unknown if the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper will be available across the country, and Burger King hasn’t announced any plans for a wider release.

Another new Whopper is already nationwide

Although the breakfast-themed Whopper is only available in a few test locations, Burger King has recently released a brand new burger across the country.

Burger King’s new Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper launched on January 6th. It’s a beefy burger with a 4.4-ounce patty, and comes loaded with onion rings, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and a peppercorn aioli sauce.

Burger King’s new Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper was created by a fan! The burger won a contest where people submitted their own burger ideas, beating out over 600,000 other entries to become a permanent addition to the national menu.
