Amazon Prime’s Tomb Raider Cast Revealed

Fans of the Tomb Raider series, which has thrilled audiences for almost 30 years, have a lot to look forward to between the end of 2025 and the start of 2026.

In February, a remastered collection of Tomb Raider IV-VI was released for current gaming systems. Then, in November, Lara Croft achieved two world records: she became the best-selling female video game character and the most frequently featured video game character on magazine covers.

In December, two new Tomb Raider games were revealed at The Game Awards 2025. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, is scheduled for release in 2026, and Tomb Raider: Catalyst will follow in 2027.

Although some actors, including Sophie Turner in the lead role, were revealed for Amazon Prime’s upcoming live-action Tomb Raider series throughout 2025, the full main cast wasn’t announced until recently.

Lara Croft’s New and Familiar Cast

Last September, Amazon MGM Studios announced that Sophie Turner, best known for playing Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, will star as Lara Croft in an upcoming project.

In December, it was announced that Martin Bobb-Semple, known for his role in All American: Homecoming, and Jason Isaacs, famous for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, would be joining the cast, though their specific characters weren’t revealed.

With the Amazon Prime series Tomb Raider set to begin production in about a year, Amazon has announced the actors who will star and the characters they’ll be playing.

Bobb-Semple will star as Zip, Lara Croft’s tech expert and longtime friend, a character originally featured in Tomb Raider: Chronicles. Meanwhile, Isaacs will play Atlas DeMornay, Croft’s uncle, who was first introduced in Rise of the Tomb Raider.
