Wonder Man’s origin story in the comics heavily features Baron Zemo, who gave Simon Williams his superpowers – like incredible strength, the ability to withstand damage, and flight – through a unique energy treatment. With the recent announcement that Daniel Brühl, who plays Zemo, won’t be in the upcoming Disney+ show, many fans are wondering how Marvel will tell Wonder Man’s origin story without him.
Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ and ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, is the executive producer and director of ‘Wonder Man’. He created the show with Andrew Guest, who has worked on ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘Community’. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, alongside Demetrius Grosse, Byron Bowers, and Lauren Glazier.
