So, Borderlands 4 is out, but it hasn’t been a smooth launch, unfortunately. A lot of us are running into technical problems, and I’ve been hearing about a really frustrating one on the PlayStation 5 Pro – apparently, the frame rate starts to seriously dip after you’ve been playing for a few hours. Randy Pitchford, the head of Gearbox, has addressed the issue, which is good to know they’re aware of it.
He confirmed his team is already aware of the issue and working on a fix. In the meantime, he offered players a simple temporary solution: restarting the game. This isn’t a new trick – anyone who’s played older games, like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PlayStation 3, has likely used it before.
This isn’t the first time Randy Pitchford has offered advice to players recently. He suggested that PC gamers experiencing performance issues with *Borderlands 4* try using DLSS and frame generation. But he also told players who simply aren’t enjoying the game to request a refund through Steam.
Thankfully, the developers still working on *Borderlands 4* are already fixing the game’s issues. A first update came out on Monday that made the PC version more stable.
