The recent 3.0 update for Wuthering Waves brought a lot of exciting new content, but it also caused some frustration for players. Many have found themselves stuck on the ‘Final Reverberation’ quest, unable to figure out how to move forward. This issue wasn’t limited to just one quest; others were also difficult to complete due to unclear instructions, missing conversations, and characters who wouldn’t respond as expected.
Final Reverberation can now be completed successfully! Most problems players experienced were either due to missed triggers or were secretly resolved in updates. This guide explains how to start and finish the Final Reverberation questline, what to do if you encounter bugs, and how to overcome the challenging I.R.I.S. sequence.
How to Complete Final Reverberation 1 & 2

Before starting Final Reverberation I in Wuthering Waves, it’s good to know the game often hides quests behind specific, sometimes unclear, requirements. Simply finishing the main story or fully exploring the map doesn’t guarantee this quest will appear. Many players have completed everything and still haven’t seen it, so if you’re having trouble, you’re in good company.
Once unlocked, both “Final Reverberation I and II” are quick quests. You’ll mostly just travel to marked locations on the map, use your Sensor to find things, examine old logs, and deliver medicine to Lias in Fangspire Chasm. The goals are simple and easy to follow.
Completing Final Reverberation 1 & Medicine Supplies
To find the discarded log for Final Reverberation I, head to the area between Itching Plains and Startorch Academy. It’s pretty noticeable, even if you aren’t specifically searching for it. However, you’ll need to wait a few days before you can actually access the log’s contents and continue with the quest.
To complete the Medicine Supplies task, locate the necessary items and deliver them to Lias, who is located in Fangspire Chasm.
Completing Final Reverberation 2
The quest ‘Final Reverberation II’ takes you to a new, abandoned log located in the southwest part of Fangspire Chasm. Once you finish the first quest in the series, you’ll automatically move onto the second one – there are no additional steps needed to continue.
If you haven’t triggered the “Final Reverberation” quest, the best thing to do is complete as many remaining side quests and events as possible. Especially in Version 3.0, some quests get blocked by other, seemingly unrelated content. Players have reported that side quests like “Urban Legend: The Anonymous Inviter” and “Hidden Childhood” can prevent progress, even if you think you’ve finished everything else.
Final Reverberation II and the I.R.I.S. Problem

Many players found themselves blocked at this point. The ‘Final Reverberation II’ update tells you to go back to I.R.I.S., which seems straightforward. However, when you try to talk to her, there’s no option to continue the quest, and nothing happens to move you forward.
Many players experienced a frustrating bug where this step wouldn’t progress. The problem seemed to happen when turning in treasure pieces, preventing the game from moving forward. Some people were able to fix it by completing different quests, but others found themselves stuck, even after finishing everything else the game had to offer.
A small update released on December 29th resolved the problem, allowing players to finish the quest as expected. If you have the latest version of the game, this step should now function correctly.
Workarounds If the Quest Still Feels Bugged

Before we fixed the issue, players found some clever workarounds, and those solutions might still help if you encounter problems with a quest.
Players discovered a solution where they teleported above I.R.I.S. and then used an item to quickly drop down onto her. This seemed to fix the problem, allowing the quest to continue for those who tried it.
Sometimes, Wuthering Waves needs you to move to a certain spot or reload the game to get characters to respond. If a character isn’t giving you dialogue, try teleporting away and coming back, reloading the area, or approaching them from a different direction – these things can often fix the problem.
If you’re still having trouble, it’s a good idea to report the problem to Kuro Games. Some quests in the 3.0 update had bugs that could freeze the game, and these often depended on the order players completed things.
Final Thoughts
The ‘Final Reverberation’ quest is a great example of what makes Wuthering Waves’ quests both intriguing and sometimes tricky. Players often ran into problems – hidden steps, glitches, and unpredictable characters – leading many to believe their game was broken. Fortunately, after updates and with the correct order of actions, the quest is now fully working and offers a rewarding experience.
