Wuthering Waves is full of exciting battles and dramatic events, but it occasionally features side quests that are surprisingly impactful. “Return to Light” is one of these. While it seems simple – just gathering stickers from different camps – it’s actually a touching story hidden within Fangspire Chasm that stays with you long after you finish it.
This guide provides a complete walkthrough of Return to Light, including how to start it, the locations of all camps and stickers, the ending details, and a list of all the rewards you’ll receive.
How to Start the Return to Light Quest
To start the Return to Light quest, go to Fangspire Chasm, which is west of Dawnship Fjord. Look for a small group of tents on higher ground. Climb the nearby stairs and find the tent where a young girl named Misha is located. Simply talk to her to begin the quest – there’s no level requirement to start!
Misha tells you she’s waiting for her mom and needs your help finding Soliskin stickers that are spread around the local camps. This makes you suspect what seems like a quick favor might turn into something more complicated.
First Sticker Near Misha’s Tent
First, walk around the left side of Misha’s tent. You’ll find the first Soliskin sticker on the ground – grab it! This also gives you a hint about how the rest of the quest works: the stickers won’t appear on your map unless you’re nearby.
First Camp: Two Stickers and Your First Fight
The first campsite is a little to the northwest of where Misha is, somewhere between her tent and the landmark called Ribcage Bends. You’ll start to see the marking stickers as you get closer.
The camp is full of enemies that you’ll need to defeat before you can explore. You can find one sticker on the ground near a tent, and the other is located higher up on the main, central building. Be sure to interact with the golden wall to scan it. After you collect both stickers, you can continue your journey.
Second Camp Near Ribcage Bends
The second campsite is located just north of Ribcage Bends and is pretty basic. Once you’ve defeated the enemies there, look on the left side of the main tent for a sticker. This sticker has a significant letter connected to Misha’s mother, suggesting the story is about to become more serious.
Third Camp Southeast of Startorch Academy
The challenge gets a little tougher from here on out. Head southeast of Startorch Academy to find the third camp, which is hidden beneath cliffs and some taller buildings.
You’ll find one sticker on the roof of the big tent. Use the grapple nearby to get up there and scan for it. The second sticker is on a tall structure that enemies are guarding. Go around the back, and you’ll see it close to a bird’s nest. As soon as you collect both stickers, enemies called Outcasts will attack, so be prepared to fight!
Fourth Camp Near Spacetrek Observatory
Okay, so I just found out about the fourth camp! It’s southeast of the Spacetrek Observatory, which is in Giant’s Gaze. Getting there looks tricky – it’s up on higher ground, so you’ll probably need to do some climbing and use your bike to get up there. Sounds like a fun challenge!
You’ll find a single sticker on the right side of the tent. Be careful – two Outcasts are guarding it, so defeat them before you try to scan the sticker.
Fifth Camp and Final Sticker
The last camp is located just north of the Spacetrek Observatory, near a Resonance Beacon. It’s a simple task: just approach the tent and scan the sticker on the right side to complete your collection of all eight Soliskin stickers.
Returning to Misha and Passing Time
Return to Misha’s tent and give her the stickers and the note you found. She’ll thank you and ask you to check back with her the next day. Use the game’s time-skip function to advance one day, then go back to her camp.
When you get there, you’ll notice things aren’t quite right. There are four Soliskins present, but Misha is missing. Check the table to find a message from Misha explaining that she’s moved on to be with her mother.
The quest ends with a brief, touching scene: two recognizable characters wave farewell while Rover subtly notes their resemblance to someone. There’s no fighting or player choice involved – just a quiet, emotional moment designed to leave a lasting impact.
Quest Details and Rewards

The Return to Light update was added in Version 3.0 and is mainly set in Fangspire Chasm. You don’t need to reach a specific Union Level to access it, so it’s possible to overlook it if you’re trying to progress quickly.
Finishing this quest will give you 300 Union EXP, 30 Astrites, 20,000 Shell Credits, and two Advanced Energy Cores. You’ll also get the Studious Soliskin Sticker to customize your Expedition Motorcycle. Plus, some players may receive the Paper Soliskin: Sweet Misha Trophy, making this quest rewarding and fun!
Final Thoughts
The ‘Return to Light’ quest is a surprisingly memorable side story. It begins as a seemingly simple collection task, but gradually unfolds into a touching narrative. It’s a good reminder that Wuthering Waves offers more than just fighting and character customization. If you appreciate stories told through the game’s world and enjoy endings that leave a lasting impression, you should definitely experience this quest.
She’s a great fit for quests focused on exploration, particularly if you prefer fast-paced combat and want to keep the action flowing.
Wuthering Waves really shines when you’re lost in its emotional side quests, and efficiently powering up your character to tackle challenges. That’s where the game truly comes alive.
