Lynae Guide | Build Guide
Basic Kit Breakdown

Lynae’s unique ability is having three different Forte levels. She starts in the Optical Sampling Stage, where you build up her Forte gauge by using regular attacks and skills.

When her Forte gauge is completely filled, holding down the Normal Attack button will activate her second Forte level, called Kaleidoscopic Parade. This also swaps the Forte gauge for a Lumiflow gauge.
When Lynae begins skating, her speed increases as the Lumiflow gauge fills – reaching maximum speed at 120. You build up the Lumiflow gauge by attacking and moving, but it decreases rapidly if you remain stationary.

If you press the jump button during the Kaleidoscopic Parade, Lynae will perform the Polychromatic Leap attack. This uses up one-third of her Lumiflow (40 Lumiflow total) and rewards you with one True Color bar.
If Lynae has collected 3 True Color bars, you can use her Visual Impact skill by simply attacking while she’s in the air. This attack deals a lot of Spectro damage and applies the Photochromatic Flux effect to enemies. Crucially, it also gives all Resonators on your team a 40-point boost to Tune Break for 30 seconds.
Visual Impact has a 25-second cooldown. If you try to use it before that time is up, you’ll get Irisdecent Splash instead. This weaker version doesn’t give you the Tune Break Boost; it only deals damage to enemies.

Another important feature is her Outro Skill. It boosts the damage of the next Resonator that enters battle, increasing their All DMG by 15% and Resonance Liberation DMG by 25% for 14 seconds, or until that Resonator is switched out.
Here’s a simple explanation of Lynae’s abilities, as the in-game descriptions can be a bit lengthy. Essentially, you’ll want to focus on building up Visual Impact. Prioritize keeping her Tune Break Boost active – it significantly strengthens your whole team!
Skill Leveling and Resonance Sequence Priority

Generally speaking, this is the recommended priority order for leveling up Lynae’s skills:
- Forte Circuit
- Resonance Liberation
- Normal Attack
- Resonance Skill and Intro Skill
Generally, follow the standard priority order, but if you manage to unlock Lynae and reach stage S3, prioritize fully leveling up her Resonance Skill!
For Lynae, focusing on upgrading her Resonance Chain to S3 is a smart move. Beyond that, the benefits aren’t really worth the effort for most players. Her S4 and S5 skills aren’t particularly impressive, and while S6 is powerful, it takes a lot of resources to unlock, making it impractical for many.
Regarding Lynae’s abilities, she can switch between two different Resonance Modes: Tune Rupture and Tune Strain. Currently, Tune Strain isn’t very effective, so we recommend focusing on Tune Rupture instead.
Stats, Echoes, and Weapons

For Lynae, these are the Echo and stats you will want to look out for as you build her:
- 4-Cost Echo: Hyvatia with 22% CRIT Rate or 44% Crit DMG.
- 3-Cost Echo: Any two Echoes. One with Spectro DMG and one with ATK% are ideal.
- 1-Cost Echo: 18% ATK.
- Substat Priorities: CRIT Rate = CRIT Damage > Energy Regen > ATK% > Basic Attack DMG Bonus
Instead of focusing on damage, you could equip Lynae with Energy Regen on her 3-Cost Echoes. This would shift her role more towards supporting your team, though you’d deal less damage overall. We still suggest prioritizing damage, but Energy Regen is a solid alternative if you prefer a support playstyle!
Okay, so if you’re going for the Sonata effect, I’ve found the 5-piece Pact of Neonlight Leap set is amazing. It gives incoming Resonators a really helpful boost through its Outro Skill, which is a total game-changer!
If you’re looking for another good option, the 5-piece Moonlit Clouds set works well too. Simply swap Hyvatia for the Impermanence Heron in this setup. It focuses on boosting Lynae’s damage output and is quite effective, though not quite as powerful as the Pact of Neonlight Leap.
When it comes to weapons for Lynae, the Spectrum Blaster is definitely her best option. If you don’t have that, the Phasic Homogenizer or The Last Dance are good alternatives. Static Mist is also a solid choice, though it will slightly reduce Lynae’s personal damage output while still keeping your team’s overall damage very high – second only to what you’d get with the Spectrum Blaster.
Teams

Finally, let’s find the right team for Lynae! Luckily, she’s adaptable and can contribute to many different groups.
Currently, her strongest team is Augusta, Iuno, and Lynae. Lynae boosts Iuno’s damage, and Iuno can then share those benefits with Augusta. This creates a powerful combination that can quickly defeat enemies with high damage, while still being fairly resilient.
You could also swap Augusta for Ciaccona or Jiyan on that team. Both of them benefit well from Lynae’s Resonance Liberation abilities.

Lynae works well with other characters who use Resonance Liberation, like Xiangli Yao or Calcharo. Combining either of those with Shorekeeper creates a very durable and effective team.
Putting that aside, Lynae is generally a great support character for boosting your main damage dealers. She works well with characters like Carlotta, even though Carlotta won’t get the full benefit of Lynae’s special Resonance abilities. She can still benefit from Lynae’s other helpful buffs, though.
That wraps up our guide to Lynae in Wuthering Waves! Hopefully, you now have a good understanding of her best builds and how to maximize her abilities.
