Devolver Digital announced that the unique game ‘Baby Steps’ now works perfectly with the Steam Deck, letting you enjoy it on the go while you get your steps in.
In Baby Steps, you play as Nate, a man who unexpectedly gains the ability to walk. This newfound power inspires him to try and turn his life around. And, as Devolver Digital points out, the game now lets you guide Nate up a mountain while you’re *actually* climbing one yourself!
Great news! Baby Steps is now verified for the Steam Deck! You’ll be able to play Nate’s adventure on your Steam Deck in just six days, wherever you are – whether it’s at the park, on the bus, or even grabbing a coffee! The options are limitless.

The ESRB rating for the game Baby Steps recently came out, and it’s… unusual. The game’s description mentions a strange world filled with odd characters, including creatures that are part human, part donkey, and depicted with exposed genitalia. Just to be clear, these characters are *only* in the game. If you encounter anything similar in real life while using your Steam Deck, please contact the authorities and get away from the situation.
Last month, the release of Baby Steps was pushed back to avoid coinciding with the launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong. The game’s developers-Bennett Foddy (known for Getting Over It), Gabe Cuzzillo and Maxi Boch (both from Ape Out)-celebrated the date change by creating a playful trailer featuring the character Nate climbing a statue of Hornet, the main character in Silksong.
Baby Steps is set to launch September 23 on PC and PS5.
