I was so excited to see Supergiant Games drop a new version of “In the Blood” from *Hades*! It’s been five years since the full game came out on PC and Switch, and this feels like a really cool way to celebrate. As a huge fan, it’s awesome to see them still supporting the game and sharing new content.
The updated version includes vocals from Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett, backed by a full orchestra recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, Studio 1. It’s being released a week before *Hades II* comes out on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and PC.
Hades is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
You can find the full song, lyrics, and details from Supergiant Games below:
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Hades’ release, we’ve created a special orchestral version of the game’s ending theme. This new rendition features vocals from Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett, and was recorded with a full orchestra at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. Thank you to all our players for five incredible years of support!
Lyrics
Fates
Weave their threads
Our lives are sewnBorn
To a life
All but our ownWe feel it inside
Our bonesIt’s in the blood
It’s in the blood
It’s in the bloodLoves
In your life
Live ever onHome
Is not where you live
But who cares when you’re goneThey’ll follow you to
The beyondIt’s in the blood
It’s in the bloodNo matter how far you go, or where you start from, it will always follow you. It’s a fundamental part of who you are, connected to your family and deeply within you.
It’s in the blood
