The Arc Raiders quest, ‘Groundbreaking,’ takes place on the challenging Blue Gate map. It involves several objectives that lead you towards the north. If you’re trying to locate the locked room at Pilgrim’s Peak or figure out where to find the building shown on the whiteboard, this guide will walk you through completing the quest.
Completing Groundbreaking isn’t required, but if you accept this task, you’ll get the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key. You must bring this key with you into the raid. We recommend using an augment with a safe pocket to keep it from getting lost. If you lose the key, you’ll have to wait for another one to appear randomly, or rely on someone else opening the door for you.
When you’re ready to complete the Groundbreaking quest, read on.

Enter the locked room at Pilgrim’s Peak
To start your journey in Groundbreaking, make your way to Pilgrim’s Peak. It’s the furthest point north on the map and a popular spot for players looking for valuable loot, so be careful when you approach. Don’t forget to bring the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key!

When you arrive, head inside and find the locked door on the eastern side of the facility.

The door is easy to find, but someone might have already gone through it when you get there. If it’s open, hold onto your key – you can use it for a treasure hunt later.
Head inside the room.

In the room, look at the whiteboard on the right to find a picture of a building.

Take some time to search the area thoroughly – you might find valuable items. Be sure to look for a weapon case, as it could contain a useful gun to help you through the rest of the raid.
When you’re done, it’s time to find the building pictured on the whiteboard.

After that, make your way southwest to the Abandoned Housing Project. Just be aware that it’s a popular spot for players, so you might encounter others while searching for loot. Stay cautious!

Head to the building marked as “Abandoned Housing Project” on your map. Once there, take a picture of it to advance to the next step.

Okay, so to finish this quest, I just need to walk up to any of those spots around the building that I can interact with and snap a picture. Easy enough!

Now that you’ve finished the quest, you can return to Speranza using whichever extraction point you like. Be careful at Blue Gate, though – it’s a popular spot for players waiting to ambush others. Before you try to extract, quickly check buildings and corners around the area, and be ready for a fight. You’ve got this!
