Indie dungeon exploring RPG Underdeep launches for PC via Steam in Q1 2026

Hakony has announced their upcoming dungeon RPG, Underdeep, will be launching on Steam. Players can expect to play the game around the first quarter of 2026.

The game features a simple, mostly black-and-white visual style with a few splashes of color. Players will explore dungeons that are revealed as they play, and their choices will impact a karma system, shaping their character’s morality. You can choose to control everything manually or let the game handle some things automatically. Plus, other players’ characters will occasionally appear in your game world, creating unique multiplayer experiences.

The game’s Steam page reveals that the developer, Hakony, used AI to create some of the images and has openly stated this. However, they also mentioned that if the game earns enough money from downloads, they intend to hire professional artists to remake the game’s artwork.
