Denny’s reveals Sticky Kicks, sneakers filled with real syrup

To celebrate National Syrup Day on December 17th, Denny’s is releasing a limited number of Sticky Kicks – sneakers actually filled with syrup! They’ll cost $195 a pair.

Okay, so Denny’s is doing something totally wild – they’re releasing sneakers! And get this, they’re called Sticky Kicks and they’re actually filled with syrup! I mean, who would’ve thought Denny’s would be dropping sneakers, let alone ones with syrup inside? It’s a crazy merch drop, for sure.

Okay, so Denny’s just dropped something wild! They announced these amazing high-top sneakers on December 10th, and get this – they actually have real Denny’s syrup inside the shoes, sealed in these clear panels on the sides. I first read about it in People magazine, and it was all confirmed in an official statement from Denny’s. It’s all to celebrate National Syrup Day on December 17th, which is just… brilliant, honestly!

Denny’s says their new Sticky Kicks sneakers are made for collectors and fashion fans, not really for everyday wear. They’re designed with shiny, syrup-colored leather, yellow details, and the Denny’s logo. A clear section on the sides lets you see actual syrup inside the shoe.

Footwear artist Dan Gamache, known as Mache, designed the sneakers. He’s worked with big names in the shoe industry and major sports organizations like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and WWE before. Mache explained that this project successfully combined bold design elements with high-quality materials, resulting in a shoe that any collector would want.

Sticky Kicks will cost $195 and come in men’s sizes 8 to 13. They go on sale at noon on December 17th, only at DinerDrip.com. Denny’s Rewards members get to shop one hour before everyone else.

Ellie Doty, Denny’s chief brand officer, playfully admitted that their new ‘Sticky Kicks’ shoes are totally over-the-top, impractical, and unnecessary – and that’s the point! She explained that since syrup is so central to the Denny’s brand, creating a fashion item felt like a natural step.
