Larian Studios has just unveiled Divinity, a new game taking place in the world of Rivellon. The game, which is Larian’s biggest project to date, was revealed with a trailer during The Game Awards 2025.
The gods are silent. Rivellon bleeds. New powers stir.
From the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios presents a new RPG that’s even more expansive and detailed than their previous work.
You don’t need to have played previous Larian games to enjoy Divinity, as it’s a fresh start. However, if you have played Divinity: Original Sin or Divinity: Original Sin 2, you’ll find familiar elements and a deeper appreciation for the story.
Larian Studios’ founder and game director, Swen Vincke, announced that their new game is the first to be officially titled ‘Divinity,’ despite the studio’s long experience with the franchise. He explained that they’re bringing all their past work together into one ambitious project, aiming for a game with more scope, detail, and emotional connection than anything they’ve created before. Vincke emphasized this has been a long-term goal for the team, and they’re excited for players to enjoy the ‘Divinity’ game they’ve always envisioned.
