Next Free Game On Epic Is Out Now, And It’s A Big One

I’m so excited! Epic Games just announced that Hogwarts Legacy is going to be free on the Epic Games Store! It was a massive hit last year – seriously, over 30 million people bought it! It even ended up being the best-selling game in the US, which is crazy when you think about how popular Call of Duty is. I can’t believe we get to snag it for free!

You can still get this week’s free games: The Darkside Detective and The Jackbox Party Pack 4. Don’t miss out!

I was absolutely blown away by Hogwarts Legacy – it was incredible! But sadly, the next Harry Potter game, Quidditch Champions, didn’t really take off. Now, though, I’m so excited to hear they’re already working on a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy! And it sounds like Warner Bros. has a ton of other Harry Potter stuff in the works too, including a new TV series. It’s a great time to be a fan!

Okay, so I’m hearing Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Harry Potter games and everything, might be sold. Apparently, Netflix and Paramount are both trying to buy them! But Netflix has said they weren’t really thinking about the gaming side of things when they made their offer. That’s kinda weird, right? I hope whoever buys them still makes awesome Harry Potter games!

Hogwarts Legacy was created by Avalanche Software, which is part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game has faced criticism due to comments made by Harry Potter author JK Rowling that have been considered transphobic. While she wasn’t directly involved in making the game, she will financially benefit from its sales. You can learn more about how Rowling’s statements have affected the trans community in our detailed article, which also includes resources for supporting trans creators and donating to relevant charities.
