All Free Mystery Gifts In Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Just like with past Pokémon games, The Pokémon Company is offering free gifts for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. These include useful items and rare Mega Stones that are otherwise unavailable, so it’s a great chance to get them!

You can get most free items through a feature called Mystery Gift. It unlocks automatically after talking to Mable at the Pokemon Research Lab, about an hour into the game. These free items are usually available for a limited time, so be sure to download them quickly!

This guide lists all the currently available free Mystery Gifts for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and explains how to get them. With the new Mega Dimension DLC out, even more free gifts are expected, so be sure to check back regularly so you don’t miss out!

Free Gifts

Ralts (with Gardevoirite)

Available until February 28, 2026

Players who buy Pokémon Legends: Z-A before February 28, 2026 will get a free Ralts as a special bonus, delivered through Mystery Gift.

This Ralts has a special item called a Gardevoirite Mega Stone. This allows it to evolve into an even stronger form, Mega Gardevoir, when it battles.

To claim the free Pokemon, press the X button to open the menu screen and follow these steps:

Open the Link Play menu
Select Mystery Gift
Select Get via Internet
Choose Ralts from the list of available gifts
Save your game

Don’t miss out on getting a free Ralts! While you can still get a Gardevoirite from Quasartico Inc. later, grabbing Ralts now is a great way to prepare for your journey and get a head start.

Alpha Charizard

Available until January 19, 2026

For a limited time, you can add a powerful alpha Charizard to your team to help you defeat the tough Pokémon in Hyperspace Lumiose.

This unusually large Pokémon is at level 36 and has learned Solar Beam, a powerful grass-type attack that Charizard typically can’t learn without a special technical machine.

To add alpha Charizard to your party, press X to open the menu and do the following:

Select Link Play
Select Mystery Gift
Choose Get with Code/Password
Enter the code B1G0006
Download the gift and save your game

This code expires on January 19, 2026. Be sure to use it before then to get your Alpha Charizard!

Diancite

Available until TBD

After you finish the main story, you can get a rare Pokémon named Diancie as a special gift.

The Pokémon Company is offering a free Diancite Mega Stone to all players. This stone lets you Mega Evolve Diancie and also starts a special questline after you beat the main game, leading to a battle with a rare Mythical Pokémon.

To receive the Mega Stone, press X to open the main menu and follow these steps:

Open the Link Play menu
Select Mystery Gift
Select Get via Internet
Choose Shine Bright Like A Gemstone from the list of available gifts
Save your game

Okay, so once you’ve gotten the Mega Stone and finished the main story, there’s an awesome side quest you can do to catch Diancie! You just need to head over to the Looker Bureau in Rouge Sector 5 and talk to Emma – that’s how you start it. I’m so excited to try it!

Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y

Available until TBD

Mewtwo isn’t usually found in the Kalos region, but you can unlock a special quest to add it to your team.

The Pokémon Company is giving away two special items, Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, through the Mystery Gift feature. These items let the Pokémon Mewtwo Mega Evolve into its two different Mega Forms, Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. Plus, receiving these stones unlocks a new side quest after you finish the main story.

To receive the Mega Stones, open the main menu and do the following:

Open the Link Play menu
Select Mystery Gift
Select Get via Internet
Choose Project M from the list of available gifts
Save your game

Once you’ve obtained the Mega Stones and finished the main story, head to Lysandre Cafe in Magenta Sector 2 and go inside Lysandre Labs. Take the elevator to Basement Floor 3 (BF3) to start the special mission featuring Mewtwo.

Item Set

Available until March 31, 2027

For a limited time, The Pokémon Company is giving away useful items as a Mystery Gift to help players explore Lumiose City.

This gift pack will help you during the Z-A Royale with useful items, and also includes Ultra Balls to expand your Pokémon collection. Here’s what you’ll find inside:

Luxurious Poke Ball Set

The Mega Dimension expansion for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is now available, and those who buy it before February 28, 2026, will get a special set of rare Poke Balls as a thank you.

This collection includes 12 different types of Poke Balls, perfect for completing your Pokedex. Here’s what you’ll get:

3 Heavy Balls

If you buy the downloadable content before the stated date, you’ll get a special code for the Poke Ball set sent to your email. Once you have the code, launch your game and follow these instructions to use it:

Only players who buy the Mega Dimension DLC before February 28, 2026, will get a special gift code. This code needs to be used by March 10, 2026.

Holowear Apparel

If you buy the Mega Dimension expansion for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you’ll also get two free outfits for your trainer: the Holo-X and Holo-Y sets.

Unlike typical bonuses you get with a code or Mystery Gift, Holowear outfits are automatically added to your wardrobe when you buy the Mega Dimension DLC. You can change into them by opening the main menu (press X) and then selecting the Outfit and Looks menu (press the minus button).
