What are Prospecting codes used for?
Prospecting codes primarily reward you with Cash and Shards, which are vital resources in the game. Cash is used to improve your tools, fix broken equipment, and buy supplies so you can dig for longer periods without returning to the surface. Shards, meanwhile, can be traded with the Shard Merchant for potions that boost things like your luck.
