For a moment, if we set aside the personal development of the Z-team members alongside Robert in Dispatch, successfully completing each mission is key. It helps them improve their skills and makes them more effective when you use them on future missions.
Plus, team members can learn new skills and abilities through Blonde Blazer’s Hero Power Training while on shift. These powers can significantly change how they perform, making their work in Dispatch much easier.
I’ve put together a list of the most helpful powers for the Z-team in Dispatch. While it doesn’t include every team member, these abilities will definitely simplify managing Robert’s schedule.
7. Bat Sh*t
Sonar

Sonar’s ‘Bat Sh*t’ ability makes his mega bat form incredibly durable and cuts his recovery time in half. It’s particularly useful when he’s not using his hybrid form, which is why it’s mentioned first.
The bat form isn’t just useful for missions needing intelligence and charm; it’s also great for tasks demanding strength or fighting skill – which is where Sonar really excels, as his stats shift to focus on those areas.
I took a risk a couple of times by relying on his hitting ability during important moments, so when those plans didn’t work out, I was relieved he hadn’t been injured. It felt like a burden lifted knowing he was still healthy.
6. Perfect Copy
Prism
Prism’s Doppleganger Illusion is particularly strong at the beginning of the game. Combining it with her Perfect Copy training power makes her illusions incredibly effective, as they gain all the stats of the hero she’s copying.
This strategy works well in missions requiring three heroes, especially if you want to boost your chances by focusing on the stats of your first hero. Prism can then create an illusion that copies those stats, giving the mission an even stronger overall boost.
If you need a character who excels in both combat and getting around, consider teaming her up with Flambae – their abilities work really well together.
5. Holy Water Spit
Waterboy
Waterboy is helpful, but he tends to automatically take on tasks if you don’t assign them to him. While I like him just as much as anyone else, this can be frustrating at the beginning of the game if he’s not strong enough yet.
With Holy Water Spit, Waterboy can avoid taking on crucial missions and instead focus on helping his teammates by healing up to two injured allies during those missions.
You can send him on any missions you like until you’ve improved his skills enough that he becomes a strong asset, either on his own or as part of a team.
4. Harder Head
Punch Up
I think Punch Up is an underrated hero when it comes to his abilities. I definitely believe his Harder Head Hero Training Power is much more effective than Squeeze In.
Because of this improvement to his core ability, when injured, Punch Up will now gain +2 to both his Combat and Vigor, and recover more quickly after completing missions.
So, this effect sticks around for the whole shift, unless you can heal his injury first. Honestly, it’s amazing for missions where you need someone tough and who can really take a beating – things like ‘Punch Up’ or when you’re playing as ‘Golem’. It just makes those characters so much more effective!
3. Flybae
Flambae
During the second half of the third episode, you’ll get the opportunity to send one of your heroes to Flight School, where they can learn a special ability. Make sure you do this while that shift is happening, though – if you take on too many other tasks first, you might miss out on the chance!
I recommend sending Flambae to teach Flybae – a bit of a pun, since Flambae is a charming but fiery character who flies! It’s a silly idea, but hopefully it works.
As a huge Flambae fan, I’m so excited about Flybae! It basically lets Flambae fly to where the action is instead of running, which means he can get to missions way faster and get his team started right away. It’s a game-changer for how quickly they can respond!
This is definitely one of his strongest and most helpful abilities, and it’s separate from the usual Hero Power Training. I highly recommend getting it in episode 3 – don’t even think twice!
2. Wolf Pack
Invisigal
As a long-time player, I’m telling you, Invisigal’s Wolf Pack is seriously one of the strongest abilities in the game. You get it just like a lot of the other cool powers – by going through the Hero Power Training while you’re on shift.
This ability might seem small, but it’s really powerful at the beginning of the game. It gives double experience points when Invisigal is part of your team. If you want to level up your characters quickly and efficiently, using this ability and teaming up Invisigal with weaker characters whenever possible will be a huge help.
Sometimes she needs to be off-screen for the sake of the plot, but that actually makes her extra helpful when we need a team for multiple tasks during her shifts.
1. Spread Thin
Golem
I think Golem’s Spread Thin is the best hero power in Dispatch, and it works in a way that’s similar to how Prism creates illusions.
Golem can create temporary copies of himself to help with tasks or missions. Each copy boosts his overall strength by 25%, and he can create up to eight copies, potentially increasing his stats by a total of 200% when it’s helpful.
I’d seen online how silly things could get with this ability. And if you use it right, you can actually complete some important missions on your own just by using Golem, as long as he also has the ‘Spread Thin’ skill equipped, of course.
It’s amusing to see Golem create miniature mud versions of itself to help complete missions, especially when those little copies contribute to its success with their stat boosts.
