In Anno 117, you can progress not just by expanding your territory, but also by permanently unlocking new items through the Hall of Fame. This guide explains how the Hall of Fame system works and details what rewards you can earn.
How does the Hall of Fame work?

The Hall of Fame is like a free battle pass you often find in games. Unlike those passes, you can’t use real money to speed up progress. You can find it by clicking your character’s picture at the top of the screen. As you progress through the Hall of Fame, you’ll unlock new items and ways to play the game. Best of all, anything you unlock stays with you permanently, even in future game updates.

As a big fan, I’ve figured out how to unlock cool stuff in the Hall of Fame! You need something called ‘fame points,’ and you get those by earning accolades. Think of accolades like achievements, but they’re totally separate from the trophies and achievements you might already have. You can see all your accolades by clicking on your character’s picture. They’re broken down into five different groups, and you get fame points for each one you complete. If you manage to finish all the accolades in a group, you even get a bonus! It’s a really rewarding system.

The Hall of Fame is structured in levels. When you first start, you can only access rewards from the first level of each gallery. As you earn and spend ‘fame’ within a gallery, you unlock the next level, which has new rewards. There are two galleries to choose from – Latium and Albion – and they work exactly the same. The only difference is that they have a different number of levels and offer different rewards.

What rewards does the Hall of Fame have?

Most of the rewards you earn in the Halls of Fame are just cosmetic changes – things that alter how things look without affecting gameplay. This includes new designs for your buildings and ships, different character portraits for heroes, and new colors and emblems to customize your flag. You can also unlock new music that plays during matches.

The gallery isn’t just for collecting; it also offers rewards that directly help you in the game. The most valuable of these are likely new gods like Epona, who improves animal production, and Mercury, who increases trade income. You’ll also find specialists who give your city powerful bonuses, and research projects that provide lasting benefits. Once unlocked, these benefits are available in all your future games.
