Embark Studios has published the details for the newest Arc Raiders update. It includes changes to the game’s maps, a reduction in the power of the Venator enemy, and adjustments to how ammunition works. Plus, there’s a nice bonus for players who collect ducks in the game!
This Arc Raiders update primarily focuses on rebalancing the Venator pistol, which was proving too strong. The developers noticed that a fully upgraded Venator could defeat entire teams using close-combat weapons. To address this, they’ve reduced how much the fire rate increases with upgrades and made the gun heavier. Previously weighing 2 units, the Venator now weighs 5, bringing it in line with other pistols in the game.
The latest update includes a significant change to the Deadline mine, a popular item players used to defeat tough enemies. The developers felt it was too effective, so they’ve made it harder to get. The price to buy a Deadline mine has increased substantially, it now requires more materials to craft, and fewer will be available from traders.

This update includes several map improvements. On the Dam Battlegrounds map, players will no longer get stuck in the elevator shaft of the Dam Control Tower. The new Stella Montis map has also been adjusted to fix spawn points, collision problems, and a specific spot at the train station where players could become trapped.
Finally, there’s a nice bonus for players who collect ducks! The update’s notes include a picture showing lots of ducks, suggesting you can now show off a larger collection in your personal den.
This update also includes several smaller improvements and bug fixes. You can find the complete list of changes in the Arc Raiders patch notes for version 1.3.0, available below.
Arc Raiders has expanded with the Stella Montis map and a challenging new enemy called the Shredder, which has already defeated over 2.2 million players.

Venator
We’ve noticed the fully upgraded Venator pistol is currently too powerful, sometimes defeating entire teams at close range. To address this, we’re slightly reducing its fire rate from upgrades, but keeping its damage and accuracy the same. This should encourage more precise shooting instead of just rapidly firing. We’ve also adjusted the pistol’s weight to match our other pistols, as players correctly pointed out it was off.
- Reduced Fire-rate gained from upgrades from 22/44/60% to 13/26/40%.
- Increased Weight from 2 to 5.
Explosive Damage
We’ve made some adjustments to how explosives work. Previously, they were damaging too many parts of enemies at once, which meant weapons like the Hullcracker could destroy larger drones faster than intended. We’ve made explosive damage more consistent and rebalanced the Hullcracker to work with these changes. Now, using the Hullcracker will require a little more accuracy to get the same level of damage, but it will still be effective when aimed well.
- Rebalanced explosive damage against ARC for a more consistent experience.
- Explosions on smaller enemies, e.g. Turrets are largely unaffected.
- Explosions on larger sized enemies, e.g. Bastion will typically deal a bit less damage.
